This is a interesting record from Tabu Ley and his band Afrisa International. Though I feel that Tabu Ley was a arrogant and too serious often but he made some great classic songs.
This song is one of them. The song I am speaking about is called Ponce Pilate. This is the original version. This version is not as exciting as the remake but this one has better vocals. Tabu Ley's backup cheours with Kiesse Diambu and Mimi Ley (or Madilu) are so perfect in this record. This song is so strong. This is what good Soukous can bring to you. Tabu Ley is just able to make some magic in this song great.
In 1994, he made a remake of this song which is the banging soukous record.
